History

Seaham Park CC was formed in 1910 out of the Seaham Ernest Club [ Nack Club Gardens ] and played their cricket in the North East Durham League.

Until, in 1926 they became founder members of the new Durham Coast Cricket League winning League titles in 1927/28/29.

In 1948 the club successfully applied and became founder members of the Durham County League winning League titles in 1950 and 1955.

In 1964 the club decided to return to the Coast League where they are today.

Forward thinking led to the club becoming members of the Hetton Lyons Sunday League in 2007 enabling the development of it’s junior players

1993 saw the development of junior cricket at the Park and since then there has been several League and Cup wins by all age groups. The Park has three qualified coaches with a further four currently taking the qualification.

Two newly constructed practice wickets are due to be completed in readiness for the forthcoming season. Costing several thousands of pounds the project has been grant aided by the Coalfield Regeneration Scheme, Seaham Town Council and Seaham Park Junior Section.

Arrangements are currently taking place to stage a 'Fathers and Sons' golf day, venue being Seaham Golf Club. Date is yet to be decided, but it is hoped that it will take place during the first week of the summer holidays.
