History

Hylton Cricket Club was formed in 1926 and were founder members of the Durham Coast Cricket League.

In the early days the club was funded by Hylton Colliey with many miners and their families enjoying the facilities at the Castletown ground.

More recently, the club, through it’s junior section, were instrumental in developing Philip Mustard the current Durham CCC and former England wicket keeper.

Outdoor coaching is held at the ground each Tuesday evening commencing 6pm
